Conference Objectives

    • Describe the potential of nursing research to support innovations in nursing practice and to improve quality of life and health throughout the lifespan.
    • Identify two strategies to enhance the impact of nursing science on policy.
    • Discuss approaches that will promote dissemination and translation of nursing research.
    • Examine the challenges of integrating theoretical and methodologic approaches for integrating biological, behavioral, environmental, and societal influence on health research

Conference Highlights

    • Opening Keynote Speaker, Dr. Susan Dorsey will present “From Cell Culture to Human Culture: Translating What We Learn in a Dish to Improve Societal Health.
    • Thursday Plenary Session speaker, Dr. Miyong Kim will present, “Connecting the Dots: Building Healthy Community Through Research.
    • Opportunities to network with colleagues from academic and clinical settings
    • Focus on From Cell to Society: The Intersection of Nursing Research, Practice and Policy as presented in numerous podium, poster, and symposium presentations
    • Awards for peer-reviewed podium and poster presentations by Doctoral Students
    • Early (Pre-Dissertation) Doctoral Student & Early DNP Student Poster Presentations
    • Awards for BS/MS Poster Presentations
    • Opportunities to attend one of five workshops on Wednesday
