2011 Award Winners
The Distinguished Contributions to Nursing Research Award is given annually to a member of ENRS who has:
- An earned doctorate and post-doctoral research;
- Evidence of outstanding contributions to nursing research;
- Sustained record of contributions to nursing research;
- A sustained publishing record emanating from the program of research;
- Documented contributions of research and research-related activities.
The awards committee is proud to honor Joyce K. Anastasi, PhD, DrNP, FAAN with the 2011 Distinguished Contributions to Nursing Research Award

The John A. Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing Practice Research Award is given annually to a member of ENRS who has:
- An earned doctorate and post-doctoral research in an area of aging, gerontology, or geriatrics;
- Evidence of outstanding contributions to nursing research directed toward the older adult population;
- Record of publications emanating from the program of research;
- Record of research-related activities.
The awards committee is proud to honor Suzanne G. Leveille, PhD, RN with the 2011 John A. Hartford Institute of Geriatric Nursing Practice Research Award

The Suzanne Feetham Nurse Scientist Family Research Award is given annually to a member of ENRS who has:
- An earned doctorate and post-doctoral research;
- Made outstanding contributions to the understanding of: families in health and illness; family functioning; and/or family structure;
- Contributed to the development and testing of interventions that improve family functioning;
- Completed research and scholarship that informs practice and education so that the circumstances and situations of families may be improved;
- Provided information that can inform health care policy to improve the health of families;
- Demonstrated leadership in research of families.

ENRS is proud to partner with Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science and the American Nurses Foundation to award the following ENRS/Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science Dissertation Award. This award is given annually to a member of both ENRS & the Council who is:
- A Doctoral candidate in Nursing at a school or college of nursing awarding a research doctoral degree requiring a dissertation

The Rising Star Research Award is given annually by ENRS to a member who has:
- Earned their doctorate within the last 7 years;
- Initiated and conducted post-doctoral health and/or nursing research;
- Shown promise in establishing a program of health and/or nursing research;
- A publishing record emanating from the program of research.
