Annual Awards

    ENRS is proud to give seven major awards every year at the annual conference.

    The Distinguished Contribution to Nursing Research Award is given in recognition of outstanding contributions to nursing research by a Senior Investigator.

    The Rising Star Research Award is given in recognition of outstanding contributions to nursing research by a Junior (earned doctorate in the last 7 years) investigator.

    The John A. Hartford Geriatric Research Award is given to recognize outstanding contributions to nursing research addressing care of older people. This award is given annually to either a senior or a junior investigator (earned doctorate in the last 7 years) depending on the nominations (self-nominations are allowed but require the same number of references).

    The Suzanne Feetham Nurse Scientist Family Research Award is given annually to either a senior or a junior investigator (earned doctorate in the last 7 years) depending on the nominations (self-nominations are allowed but require the same number of references).

    ENRS/Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science Dissertation Award

    The Doctoral Student Scholar Award is given to recognize the dissertation research of doctoral students. 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place poster presentations and 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place paper presentations will be chosen at the annual conference.

    The BSN / MSN 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Poster Awards will also now be given each year at the Annual Scientific Sessions. During the year each school of nursing (in the ENRS Region) is invited to submit a maximum of two student abstracts describing the student’s poster. There will be a 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place award for both BS and MS posters.

    ENRS/ANF Scholar Award - ENRS is proud to partner with the American Nurses Foundation, the education and research arm of the American Nurses Association, to award an annual scholarship to a nurse researcher encouraging positive change in healthcare practice and policy. Applications are due to ANF by May 1, 2012.

    New! Eastern Nursing Research Society New Investigator Award - ENRS is proud to partner with the American Nurses Foundation, the education and research arm of the American Nurses Association, to award an annual scholarship to an early investigator (i.e. within 2 years post-graduation with research doctorate) encouraging positive change in healthcare practice and policy.  Applications are due to ANF by May 1, 2012.
